What Spiritualism Is and Does
Core Definitions
The Spiritualist
A Spiritualist is someone who understands that we are never truly separated from our loved ones. We believe that communication between this world and the Spirit World is a natural fact. We use the wisdom gained from these connections to build a life of integrity, compassion, and purpose.
The Medium
Think of a Medium as a sensitive "receiver." They are individuals who have developed the natural ability to sense the Spirit World. Like a bridge between two shores, they allow those in spirit to share messages of love, healing, and evidence of their presence.
The Spiritualist Healer
A Healer is a conduit for universal energy. Through working with the spirit world, they channel a "vital spark" to help restore balance and wellbeing to those facing physical, mental or emotional challenges.
The Mediumship Experience
The evidence of Spirit shows up in many beautiful ways. It isn’t "ghost stories’ instead it is a wide spectrum of experiences. Whatever the form, these "phenomena" serve one purpose.
The Purpose Behind the Practice
Our mission is simple: to teach and proclaim the Science, Philosophy, and Religion of Spiritualism.
We aim to remove the fear of death, empower the individual to take personal responsibility for their growth, and demonstrate that the "veil" between worlds is simply a doorway to the next stage of existence.

Spiritualism is the Science, Philosophy and Religion of continuous life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication, by means of mediumship, with those who live in the Spirit World.
- It brings to the surface man's spiritual gifts, such as inspiration, clairvoyance, clairaudience and healing powers.
- It teaches that the spark of divinity dwells in all.
- That as a flower gradually unfolds in beauty, so the spirit of man unfolds and develops in the Spirit World.
- Spiritualism is God's message to mortals, declaring that There Is No Death. That all who have passed on still live. That there is hope in the life beyond.
- That every soul will progress through the ages to heights, sublime and glorious, where God Is Love and Love Is God.
- It is a manifestation, a demonstration and proof of the continuity of life after the physical death.
- It teaches personal responsibility.
- It removes all fear of death, which is really the portal of the Spirit world.
- It teaches that death is not the cessation of life, but mere change of condition.
- That man is a spiritual being now, even while encased in flesh.
- That as man sows on earth he reaps in the life to come
- That those who have passed on are conscious - not asleep.
- That communion between the living and the "dead" is scientifically proven.
- It thus brings comfort to the bereaved, and alleviates sorrow.
