The Seven Principles form the heart of our community. Rather than a fixed creed or set of rigid rules, they provide a meaningful compass for our soul’s journey.
These Principles were brought to us in 1871 by Robert Owen, (in spirit) through the trance mediumship of Emma Hardinge Britten. Today, we embrace them not as a "must-follow" list, but as a vibrant way of living.
At the beginning of each service, we recite these together to ground ourselves in our shared philosophy.

Our Seven Guidelines for Living:
The Fatherhood of God
We acknowledge a Universal Creative Energy, a Source of all life that is common to everyone. We see this as a loving, infinite intelligence that flows through the entire universe.
The Brotherhood of Man
Because we share the same spiritual origin, we are all connected. We believe in the equality and dignity of every person, transcending race, gender, and belief. We are, quite simply, one human family.
The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels
The bridge between our world and the next is always open. We believe that we can communicate with those in Spirit and that we are constantly supported by the loving guidance of those who have transitioned before us.
The Continuous Existence of the Human Soul
Life is eternal. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. While our physical bodies are temporary, our consciousness, our personality, and our love continue to exist and thrive in the Spirit world.
Personal Responsibility
You are the architect of your own destiny. We believe that we have the freedom to choose our thoughts and actions, and we take ownership of the impact those choices have on ourselves and the world around us.
Compensation and Retribution Hereafter for all Good and Evil Deeds Done on Earth
This is the natural law of cause and effect. We believe that the vibration we put out into the world, whether kindness or harm, eventually returns to us, shaping our experience both here and in the life to come.
Eternal Progress Open to every Human Soul
The door to growth is never closed. Every soul has the opportunity to learn, evolve, and move toward the light. In this world or the next, there is always a path forward for those seeking to better themselves.
