Whether you've been to a Spiritual church before or this is your very first time, you are welcome at East Hamilton Spiritual Church. We are a friendly church family of all ages, and we've been in Hamilton since 1903.

You don't need to book, join or know anything beforehand. Just come along, sit wherever you feel comfortable, and enjoy the service.

Sunday Morning Service: Sunday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday Evening Services, Circles and Events: Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (some Wednesdays are closed, so please check our Services page)

We welcome visitors from all over, including Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Burlington, Grimsby, London, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and across Ontario.

Parking and buses: street parking and municipal parking lots nearby. By bus: HSR route 41 Mohawk (via Ottawa Street).

Getting in: there are seven steps up to the front entrance.

What Happens at a Sunday Service

Our Sunday services last about an hour and a half, with music throughout. Each one has three parts:

1. Spiritual healing. We read the Healing Prayer together, and anyone who would like healing can sit with one of our healers. It is gentle and hands-on, and you can always simply stay in your seat and watch.

2. An inspirational talk. A short, uplifting talk from that week's speaker.

3. Evidential mediumship. The medium passes on messages from loved ones in the Spirit World, with details that help people recognise who is coming through. You may or may not receive a message, and that's perfectly fine.

A collection is taken during the service. Donations are appreciated but never expected. Afterwards, please stay for fellowship. It's a lovely chance to meet everyone and ask any questions.

Do I need to book for a Sunday service?
No. Just come along. Workshops and some special events do need booking, and the Events page will say so.

Does it cost anything?
Sunday and Wednesday services have a collection, and you give whatever you wish. Workshops and classes have a set price, shown on the Events page.

Will I be put on the spot?
No. If the medium has a message for you, they will ask if they can come to you, and you can simply say yes or no. Nobody has to stand up or speak.

What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. Comfortable clothing is welcomed.

Can I bring my children?
Yes, children are welcome.

Do I need to share your beliefs to come?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome, whatever their beliefs.

Is spiritual healing a replacement for my doctor?
No. Spiritual healing is offered alongside medical care, never instead of it.

Can I watch from home?
Yes. Starting Sunday, November 8th, 2026, our Sunday services will also be shown live on Zoom. See our Online Sunday Service page to register each week.

Do you do weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies?
Yes. Our ministers are recognised by the Province of Ontario to perform marriages. They also lead celebrations of life and Spiritual Naming Ceremonies. Please see our Ministers page or email us.
