The Healing Tree - In Memory of Denise Desrochers
The Healing Tree
Trees are a wonderful addition to any home, and at East Hamilton Spiritual Church, we are blessed with a lovely lilac tree on our front lawn and a beautiful Rose of Sharon tree in our back gardens.
Our lovely lilac tree brings us great shade from the morning sun, buffering our front garden and porch from the elements, allowing us to enjoy our front porch, regardless the season.
The Rose of Sharon tree sits nestled in our back gardens, greeting us with a lovely view as soon as we enter in, providing shelter to the beautiful hydrangea bush that blooms beside it.
Both trees were planted in 2010 by our dear friend Denise Desrochers, who absolutely loved gardening, and mother nature certainly loved her.
Because of Denise’s love for nature, we were blessed with many years of beautiful gardens, that thrived from the loving care and attention she gave them.
But Denise was not just our gardener!
She held office as our Vice-President for several years, was an active member of the church and an amazing healer.
She was always at our front door greeting people, engaging in conversation, always willing to lend a listening ear and share her inspirational spiritual knowledge with us, to help us on our path, to heal and to grow.
Her smile and witty sense of humor touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
When Denise passed in October 2018, we wanted to do something special in her memory, of her devotion to EHSC, to her gardens and to all the kindness and love she gave so freely to everyone who met her.
A special plaque The Healing Tree - In Memory of Denise has been placed in our back gardens, dedicating her Rose of Sharon tree, as The Healing Tree, where healing prayer ribbons, bearing your loved ones name/ may be placed on the tree, in their memory.
During the healing portion of our services, and during our healing circles, healing energy will be sent by our registered church healers, to the names placed on the healing tree.
And we know that as each ribbon is placed upon the tree, our Denise will be sending out prayers of healing for the heavens and joining us as we send our prayers out from our earthly home.
